Conventions and Events

I enjoy doing conventions and events of all sizes. I've been to the biggest conventions in the world, spoken at colleges and universities, taught art classes and workshops, and I've done store signings at all different sizes of comics, gaming, and specialty shops.

Here's some images of those events and resources for future events. If you would like to book me at your event or have any questions, send me an email over on the contact page

What Else Can I Do for Your Event?

COMIC BOOK PANELS AND PROGRAMMING

I’ve participated in many panels and workshops at conventions over the years. Here are some examples of panels and programming that I’d be willing to do again at no additional cost. I’ve also hosted panels with featured guest artists, been on panels that were project and comic character-specific, and panels which feature a specific skill like comic book penciling, cover art, etc.

MAKING COMICS - I have experience in every step of producing comics. From concept to drawing and the whole process through print production and distribution. I’ll discuss the soaring triumphs and hilarious mistakes I’ve made and learned from over the years.

SKETCH OFF/QUICK DRAW - These panels are drawing demonstrations with varying degrees of audience participation either with other artists or solo. It offers fans an opportunity to see drawings come alive and for members of the audience to possibly take a sketch home with them.

MERCHANDISING

I’m absolutely willing to help any show I do by doing artwork for exclusive comics, prints, shirts, or other merchandise. The art must be compliant with copyright and trademark laws with full authorization from any rights-holders.

EXCLUSIVE COVERS
I have experience creating and facilitating exclusive covers with numerous companies for conventions and vendors. I’d be happy to work with you on something for your event. I have worked with IDW, Dynamite, Boom!, Scout, New England Comics, and others on some of the biggest intellectual properties in comics.

CREATOR-OWNED AND PUBLIC DOMAIN EXCLUSIVES
Sometimes the cost of licensing a character can be prohibitive. Another way to create exclusive merchandise is with characters I own or ones in the public domain. I have a fantasy comic book series called The Axe of Hellena, and I am able to create exclusive covers, prints, and other items that can be exclusive to any convention, vendor, or event with minimums as low as 25 copies. I can also do exclusive artwork featuring Golden Age superheroes that are 100% Public Domain and royalty-free.
